Offered to market for the first time, this sensational, tastefully specified example of the awesome Vantage GT12, presented in virtually as new condition, as befits the low mileage of just 2,200 from new.
Unveiled by Aston Martin in 2015 as the most potent and uncompromising Vantage to date: the track-inspired Vantage GT12. With production strictly limited to just 100 examples (only 28 of which were UK right hand drive), the new model combined all of Aston Martin’s learning from its highly successful and iconic GT racing programme to produce its most performance focused road-going Vantage.
Significantly re-engineered from the ‘normal’ V12 S, the GT12 shed 100kg through the extensive use of carbon fibre body panels; bonnet, bumpers, front wings and optionally, roof.
The 7-speed Sportshift III transmission was also revised for quicker shifts, while the significant aero additions; a rear wing, front splitter, rear diffuser and side skirts- increased downforce by 7 times over the standard V12 S. Chassis updates included a wider track and massive carbon ceramic brake discs. Power from the 6.0 litre V12 was increased from 550 to 592 bhp, rendering it “Outrageous and addictive, a force of nature” according to EVO’s Richard Meaden.
This GT12 we are now delighted to offer, has covered just 2,200 miles from new by its Aston Martin enthusiast owner and is finished in Alloro Green with yellow GT12 graphics and contrasting yellow brake calipers. A livery no doubt taking inspiration from Aston Martin Racing’s exploits. The interior is trimmed in black Alcantara with contrasting Electron yellow stitching and interior accents. Interestingly, our research confirms that this is the only RHD example finished in Alloro Green.
The list of optional extra’s specified on this car is extensive and includes the all-important carbon fibre roof, carbon front grille, Satin Carbon centre console and full-length Twill carbon facia trim, lightweight carbon fibre seats, carbon tailgate, carbon fibre interior parcel shelf, 7 spoke Satin Black centre lock wheels and machined carbon Aston Martin wings badges. The original New Vehicle Invoice included in the history file confirms this example to have been ordered with £50,000 of optional extras!
Benefitting from annual servicing at Aston Martin agents and by ourselves and garaged in climate-controlled surroundings when not in use, this car is in immaculate condition throughout and is supplied with all original keys, a custom fit car cover and a model relevant cherished registration number.
With its obvious racing inspiration, very limited production numbers, visceral performance and a sensational soundtrack, our opinion is that the Vantage GT12 will emerge, if it hasn’t already, as a highly sought after and collected model and this now represents an opportunity to purchase one of the best-looking examples we have seen, with low mileage and in fabulous condition.
