We aim to be able to display these attributes through our work every day, and ensure that the team we put together will be able to fulfil these demands. At present, our team is made up of hugely experienced professionals, ranging from our very own Managing Director Nicholas Mee, through to what we believe to be the best technicians in the business.

DIRECTORS

NICHOLAS MEE - MANAGING DIRECTOR


Nicholas joined Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd in 1976 and progressed to being a key member of the company’s management team. Having left Aston Martin in 1991 he went on to form Nicholas Mee & Company Ltd in South Kensington, London before expanding the business into its current location. Apart from his business, Nick’s other interests include tennis, motorsport, cinema and reading.

NEAL GARRARD - COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR


In addition to previously working for the BAR Honda F1 Team, Neal also enjoyed a stint as Commercial Manager at Aston Martin Racing, where he was involved in the commercial activities of the successful ‘works’ team and sales of the DBR9 and DBRS9 GT racing cars. Having joined Nicholas Mee & Co in 2008, Neal is responsible for the commercial operations of the company. Passionate about all sports, Neal particularly enjoys motorsport, golf and cycling.

SALES & OPERATIONS

CARY PATEL - OPERATIONS & FINANCE MANAGER


Cary has a wealth of motor trade experience as a dealership accountant within the VW franchised dealer environment and is now the back office engine that keeps Nicholas Mee & Company running, having responsibility for all Finance and HR functions. Outside of work Cary relishes time with family, walking, reading and escaping to her native West Country home when time allows.

NEO METZ - DIGITAL MARKETING EXECUTIVE


The youngest and best-looking member of the team, digital marketing guru Neo returns to Nicholas Mee after a summer internship last year to continue the development of our two websites, our social media presence and all areas of our online and offline presentation. Fresh out of university and having been interested in all things cars from a young age, it seems fitting that he has found his way into the Nicholas Mee team. Outside of work and cars Neo is interested in art, likes to keep himself fit, swim, surf and have a good time with his mates.



SERVICE & AFTERCARE

CHRIS GREEN - SERVICE & AFTERCARE MANAGER


Since leaving school, Chris has held just about every position in service and aftersales having trained as Rolls Royce and Bentley apprentice, working his way through the ranks to head up our Workshop operations. Chris’ experience spans across many marques and include technical roles, service advisory roles and 18 years on Aston Martins, 10 of which were served at Aston Martin Works. Chris likes to spend his time away from the workshop in the great outdoors hiking, fishing, golf and following motorsport.

OLIVER TOMLINSON-ROE - SERVICE & AFTERCARE ADVISOR


Oliver joins our Service Department from world renowned Rolls-Royce and Bentley heritage dealers P & A Wood. He spent four years as a Service Advisor learning the ins and outs of restoration work. Oliver is a true petrol head and having grown up with Aston’s and being an owner of one himself, he is a real enthusiast of the marque. When he is not working on his own cars, or reading about Aston’s, Oliver enjoys playing golf, skiing and shooting.

PETER RUGMAN - WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR


After completing his A levels, Peter determined on a career in the Motor trade, completed a diploma in motor vehicle technology, achieving a triple distinction in examinations, before completing a 3 year advanced apprenticeship with Audi. Peter then spent 10 years within the VAG network, progressing to Master Technician status and Supervisor of a busy and successful workshop. Peter now performs a crucial role in our Service & Aftercare operations, linking our client service team with the workshop, identifying, distributing and overseeing the workflow through our busy workshops. Full of energy and determined to succeed in his role, Peter has already developed a deep passion for Aston Martin and is enjoying getting familiar with all of the models. Outside of working hours, Peter has previously been a semi-professional paintballer and is enjoying raising his young daughter!


PAUL SUSSEX - SENIOR TECHNICIAN


Paul started his career in the motor trade over 40 years ago and in that time has a wide range of experience with different marques. Paul joined the Aston Martin world in 2000 with a respected main dealer, completing various factory training courses on models such as the DB7, Vanquish and Gaydon production models and is a qualified MOT tester. Away from work, Paul enjoys cycling, cooking and eating out. He is also a Judo 1st dan.

IAN BAYLEY - SENIOR TECHNICIAN


With over 40 years’ experience in the motor trade, over 20 of which with Aston Martin, Ian brings a huge amount of experience to the team. Having served his apprenticeship on British Leyland and Jaguar vehicles, Ian progressed to Workshop Foreman of a successful Jaguar dealer before, in 1996, joining the Aston Martin world where he has stayed ever since, becoming Senior Master Technician, Workshop Supervisor and Technical Supervisor of one of the country’s busiest main agents. Factory trained on all ‘New Era’ cars, up to and including the One-77, DB11 and DBX. Hertfordshire born and bred, Ian enjoys various water sports, Motor Racing and Rugby, when not under the bonnet of an Aston Martin!

JAMES WOOLLEY - TECHNICIAN


James has been fascinated by all things mechanical since an early age and his passion led him to complete a Motorsport Engineering degree at Coventry University. On graduating, James spent a number of years in motorsport, preparing and running GT and Formula 3 cars, before joining McLaren where he spent time in the Prototype and development departments. Outside of work, when his hands are not full looking after his young twins, James can be found in his workshop making or modifying something or out on his mountain bike!

BEN ASHTON - APPRENTICE TECHNICIAN1


Following a thorough Apprentice recruitment process in 2018, Ben was selected and now embarks on a three year apprenticeship programme in Classic Car maintenance, run in conjunction with the Heritage Skills Academy at Bicester Heritage. Outside of work and when not deeply engrossed in his extensive reading list, Ben enjoys skiing, playing the guitar and fettling his mk3 MX5!

CAREER OPPORTUNITY - TECHNICIAN


Due to the continued success of our Service & Aftercare department, located at our award winning Essendonbury Farm premises, on the historic Hatfield Park Estate in Hertfordshire, we now have an exciting opportunity to join the team in the role of Vehicle Technician.

SIMON LUCK - DRIVER & SUPPORT


Simon joins us after a successful career in Logistics Management including 10 years with a national supermarket chain. Having had previous experience with chauffeuring roles, Simon now assists both the Sales and Service & Aftercare departments with collection and delivery requirements. When not ‘out on the road’, Simon assists both departments and the preparation of vehicles. Away from work Simon, enjoys travel, walking and watching his team Chelsea play, when the opportunity arises!

DAVID BICK - DRIVER & SUPPORT


Alongside his colleague Simon, David assists both the Service & Aftercare and Sales departments in the collection and delivery of customer vehicles in addition to providing general operations support when not driving. David has previously enjoyed a career in Logistics and away from work, enjoys spending time with his family, walking and gardening.



PARTS DEPARTMENT

JAMES DYER - PARTS MANAGER


Having previously completed an apprenticeship as a Heritage Technician at Aston Martin, James now runs our parts department, supplying parts to not just our own workshops but to trade and retail customers around the world. In addition to a very sound knowledge of the Parts catalogues for all Aston Martins, James loves the challenge of sourcing hard to find or obsolete parts for older models using his network of contacts within the industry. Outside of work, James has an interest in construction and likes to keep fit and has previously completed an Ironman!

TIM LOWCOCK - PARTS MANAGER


Tim has been involved in various brands during his Parts career in the automotive industry, initially with Jaguar Land Rover and then two decades with BMW. A spell working in Formula One for Stewart Grand Prix whetted his appetite to have a go himself and Tim competed competitively in Formula Ford 1600 for ten years, preparing his owns cars. More recently he chose to combine his other passion of classic and sports cars with a move into the specialist car sector Tim’s other hobby is cycling and enjoys “raids” across Europe including the Alps & Pyrenees.



TRIM & UPHOLSTERY

ADAM CHAPPELL - TRIM & UPHOLSTERY SPECIALIST


Adam has nearly 14 years experience working in the automotive trim industry, working on both modern and classic cars. Adam served his apprenticeship at the oldest Morgan dealership in the world before spending a decade working for a independent trim specialist working on a wide range of cars including Aston Martins, Ferraris, Jaguars and Porsche. Outside of work Adam enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and meals out at various independent restaurants and cafés in his home town. Adam is a lifelong Luton Town supporter, a passion that has been passed down from his Father and Grandfather. He tries to get to as many games as he can but his daughters Saturday afternoon swimming lessons do get in the way a bit! But he wouldn’t change it for the world.
