About the Spitfire 80 Edition
Each example was hand finished in specially created Duxford Green Pearlescent paintwork with the trademark Spitfire speed yellow pinstripe accents. The Aston Martin wings badges are made from solid sterling silver with a tailored Old English White inlay, while owners were able to choose an original Spitfire serial number lacquered into the side strakes and embroidered into the dashboard, this car wearing K5054.
Inside, the Spitfire 80 is specified with Kestrel Tan hide and Black Alcantara interiors. With, exquisitely detailed Spitfire inspired special features, combining to create a highly evocative homage to the beloved icon which is the Supermarine Spitfire. 1 of 8 examples, this one being equipped with the 7-speed manual transmission, each car was delivered to its first owner at the spiritual home of the Spitfire, former RAF airfield, Imperial War Museum Duxford, during an emotionally charged handover ceremony in October 2016.
The cost of each Spitfire 80 was set at £180,000 – which included a £5,000 donation to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
Offered to market for the first time and now, having covered merely 2,350 miles from new, with maintenance carried out annually by Aston Martin Cambridge, regardless of the minimal mileage, this evocative car is presented in exceptional condition throughout. A complete list of the inspired and detailed Spitfire edition special features, too many to describe in this presentation, is available on request.
