A fitting homage to Aston Martin’s outright victory at the 1959 Le Mans 24 hour race, the special edition Vantage Le Mans, proudly represents the motorsport legacy of the company and the end of an era, for the Coach Built car.
This superb example, number 7 of the 40 planned and produced, was built for and shown at the 1999 Earls Court Motor Show and was completed with the 600bhp and 5 speed transmission options available from the factories V600 programme. Attractively finished Aston Racing Green with Saddle Tan hides and Alcantara inserts, before being registered to it’s first owner in the year 2000. Numbered 007, the car offered is complete with all it’s original hand books and equipment, including the glove box mounted torch and Michelin road map, highlighted with the traditional route to Le Mans from Newport Pagnell.
With just 4 owners from new and lastly supplied by ourselves, this cherished car has been maintained annually by Aston Martin Works, has covered just 24,400 miles and is almost indistinguishable from new. Highly prized and indeed rare to see, the Vantage Le Mans is both scintillating to drive and a 'bona fide' collector’s car, from the end of an era of hand built cars.
With a massive 600bhp, produced from the Marek designed, 5.3 litre Supercharged 4 cam all alloy V8 engine. Combined with a sumptuous interior, tenacious grip and superb braking, the high speed continental touring capability of the Le Mans V600, leaves a lasting impression even by modern day standards.
