To the Aston Martin collector and enthusiast, the POW specification V8 Volante needs little introduction. Constructed to a specification arrived at, when building a unique car for His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales. The POWs chassis and mechanical specifications were of the X-Pack engined Vantage Volante, discreetly packaged in a mildly modified standard Volante body. Thus, affording his highness, the maximum level of performance available, in the discreet coachwork of the near standard Volante.
Chassis 15762, the car we are proudly offering, is 1 of 22 cars built to POW specifications between 1987 and 89, on the Newport Pagnell factories production line. Appropriately finished in Balmoral Green this exceptionally rare and further enhanced car, has a complete service history and is accompanied with its original handbooks, tool roll and jack. Recently upgraded to 7.0 litre engine specifications, giving over 475 bhp, with suitable braking and suspension improvements, being fitted simultaneously. Undoubtedly the most coveted of the V8 era cars, the POW specified Volante Vantages, represent a pinnacle of the coach built era of Aston Martin production and a rare opportunity for collectors.
