Another
recent job completed in our Trim & Upholstery department; the repair of a sagging headlining in a customer’s, much
cherished, DB7. Unfortunately,
over the years the foam and glue bonding the
headlining (in this case Alcantara) can loose its adhesion to the roof panel,
the result being an ugly and inconvenient sagging material.
Our trim experts carefully remove the headliner panel from the car, then remove the headlining material from the panel, clear all historic glue residue then rebond the material to the roof panel before refitting to the car. In this case, we were able to reuse the original OEM specification alcantara, preserving the originality of the car. Replacing a sagging headlining can be the perfect time to discuss any customisation / personalisation ideas you might have, such as diamond quilted or fluted designs, as seen in certain Aston Martin models, or for that matter, a different material such as hide instead of cloth or alcantara.
Below are some other examples of types of different interior Headlining's our Trim department can fit for your vehicle.
A sagging headlining is certainly not an issue isolated to Aston Martin and we have carried out the same job on various other marques.
If you would like to discuss a similar job for your car or any other Trim & Upholstery requirements you may have, our highly experienced team would be delighted to hear from you.
