The Mk1 version of this high-performance grand tourer was manufactured between 2001 and 2007 – and the second-generation model was produced from 2012 until 2018.
In design terms, the Mk2 Aston Martin Vanquish takes its inspiration from the British marque’s One-77 flagship sports car (which was made between 2009 and 2012). It saw the implementation of an all-new carbon-fibre exterior that was carefully moulded into a muscular, powerful body.
Conforming to BSI aerospace quality standards, the latest Vanquish iteration was 25% lighter than, for example, the DBS, allowing it to achieve new levels of performance. Even so, the car continued to deliver a luxurious motoring experience. It’s just that its 5.9-litre V12 engine now produced 568bhp and 620Nm of torque, enabling 0-62mph in roughly four seconds and a top speed of 201mph.
