Aston Martin’s relationship with Italian automaker Zagato began in 1960, the result of which was the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato. There were more collaborations in the 1980s, including 1987’s V8 Vantage Zagato, and several further joint efforts from 2003 to (so far) 2019.
2011’s V12 Zagato was created using a combination of computer-aided and hand-made techniques. The result: a model that was imbued with the very best of British and Italian automotive craftsmanship.
While very much embracing contemporary motoring tastes, the V12 Zagato’s timeless style also embraces a glorious automotive past, and features a 6-litre V12 engine which delivers the goods. The car races from 0-62mph in just 4.2 seconds – and on the racetrack, it hits a top speed of 190mph.
In total, no more than 215 examples were produced. Happily, Nicholas Mee is often the best and only place to pick up a high-quality classic car such as the V12 Zagato.
