Description
2011 ASTON MARTIN DBS VOLANTE MANUAL
One of the most hunted Gaydon era models, the DBS Volante with 6-speed manual gearbox! We are delighted to offer for sale, this rarity, finished in Tungsten Silver over Sahara Tan and Obsidian Black hides, complemented by the black convertible hood.
Making its debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, the DBS Volante continued the success of the DBS Coupe, the flagship of the then Aston Martin range. Powered by the same formidable 510 bhp V12 as its coupé sibling and benefitting from a significantly stiffened VH chassis, the Volante boasted a theoretical top speed of 191 mph. Launching exclusively in a 2+2 configuration, by the close of production in Summer 2012, only 846 units were built.
While most left the factory with the Touchtronic 2 transmission, using data supplied by our friends at the Aston Martin Heritage trust, we can confirm just how exceptionally rare 6-speed manual gearbox examples were; 45 in total (just over 5% of DBS Volante production - already a rare car) - but only 8 RHD, 7 RHD for the UK market.
Peak, PEAK Aston Martin. The last open top manual ‘DB’. Described by no other than Jeremy Clarkson as being ‘one of the best two or three cars in the world right now’ during his infamous Romanian road trip episode of Top Gear in 2010 (note, this is NOT that particular car).
It is one of those 7 examples, we are now delighted to present.
First registered in 2011 and used by a notable non-executive director of Aston Martin Lagonda for the first two years of its life, before changing hands to its second owner in 2013, who kept the car for a further 8 years. Purchased by its last owner in 2021, with 35k miles recorded.
This 2012 model year example is tastefully finished in (Out of range) Tungsten Silver over Obsidian Black and Sahara Tan hides. Notable optional extras chosen include; Alarm upgrade, Black brake calipers, full length Piano Black fascia trim, Magnum silver bonnet meshes, DBS headrest logos and 10-spoke Diamond turned wheels.
With 11 Aston Martin services recorded in the owner’s manual, with corresponding invoices included in the extensive history file, it is evident from our pre-sale inspection that this car has had a pampered life. The car presenting in superb condition throughout, the paintwork protected in vulnerable areas by PPF and the interior showing only the lightest evidence of use.
Supplied to its next owner freshly serviced, to schedule, with 4 new tyres, 12 months MOT and 12 months warranty.
An unmissable opportunity to acquire one of the most mythical models from Aston Martin’s famed first generation Gaydon production.
Available for viewing and demonstration now at our Hertfordshire showrooms.
If the list price of a car is over £40,000 at time of first registration, then there will be an additional rate payable from the second time the car is taxed for up to 5 years. MPG figures are obtained from laboratory testing and intended for comparisons between vehicles. They are unlikely to represent real world efficiency.
