2009 Aston Martin DBS Manual

Finished in Storm Black, we are delighted to offer for sale this ‘collector grade’ manual DBS, with just 10,000 miles from new and in exceptional condition throughout.
The 2008 – 2012 DBS, particularly those built with the 6-speed manual gearbox, has firmly established itself as one of the most sought after and collectible Aston Martin’s from the famed 1st generation of production (2004-2018) at the Gaydon factory.

Building on both the critical and commercial success of the DB9, introduced in 2004 and the first car to be built at the new Gaydon production facility, using the all new VH chassis platform, the DBS was first shown in January 2006 as a design sketch and in an announcement that James Bond would be driving one in the next 007 movie, Casino Royale.

Inspired by the awesome DBR9 GT1 race car, which by then was achieving great success in International Sports car racing and winning the hearts of racing fans the world over, the DBS was to be a direct descendent of the DBR9 and a DB9 with a harder edge, a DB9 with more menace.

In November of 2006, the DBS made a dramatic debut in all new 007 film, starring, for the first time, Daniel Craig and made its first public debut at Pebble Beach in the summer of 2007.
Production started in late 2007, with the first customer deliveries starting in the first quarter of 2008.

The DBS was intended to be a more driver focused, super GT. The V12 engine was tuned to 510bhp, an increase from 450bhp in the DB9, enough to cut the 0-60mph time from 4.9 to 4.2sec and lift the top speed from 186 to 191mph. It featured a number of first for Aston Martin: Carbon Ceramic brakes, adaptive damping and the use of carbon fibre body panels; the boot enclosure, boot lid, door opening surrounds, front wings and bonnet. Shaving 65kg’s of the weight of a DB9.

At launch, no doubt to position the model as a ‘drivers’ car and probably to avoid cannibalising sales from the DB9, the DBS was available as a manual only and with 2+0 seating.

If the DBS has been ‘on your radar’ but you haven’t yet been able to locate that particular example, that ticks all of your boxes, well this might just be what you are looking for. The original specification; 6-speed manual, 2+0 seating and the original silver 20 spoke wheels. Just the way the designer initially imagined the DBS.

Finished in a great colour, Storm Black. One of three colours developed specifically for the DBS. Inside, it features Obsidian Black hides and the alcantara seat inserts.

Having covered just 10,000 miles from new, the condition, throughout, is superb and as close to a new car you can hope for from a 16-year-old car. Much cherished by its former owners, the service history confirms no corners have been cut on maintenance, 13 stamps in the service book telling the story.

This car also benefits from Apple Car Play and a rear parking camera, is supplied with a custom fit Aston Martin indoor car cover and battery conditioner. Oh, it also has a great, model relevant cherished registration number, which, subject to negotiation, can be included in the sale.

What we would consider a ‘collector grade’ example, this car will be supplied to its next owner inspected, fully prepared and detailed, along with 12 months warranty.

Now available for viewing and a demonstration at our showrooms in Hertfordshire, now.
