MEE SPEAK - OCTOBER 2016


Giddy is perhaps the word that best describes the world of Classic Cars right now. Not from jumping in and out of fast cars, but from the sheer pace of events over the past few weeks. 

The Goodwood Revival, the Concours of Elegance at Windsor Castle, Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace, plus the RM Sotheby’s and Bonhams auctions, are just some of the events that comprise what has become the UK’s ‘Classic Car Week’. Along with hundreds of thousands of other enthusiasts from all over the globe, we’re now catching our breath after a very busy summer.

The classic car scene is no longer a quiet world of old boys tinkering with their toys. Forget that. Our area of commerce is now firmly entrenched and vibrant in today's society. The enthusiasm and luxury lifestyle that comes with owning a classic is underpinned by annual events such as those above, with even more planned for the future. You could say that these events are the chess boards for the chess pieces we bring to market…

As for a sit/rep on the state of the market, well I guess the above says it all – it’s very much business as usual.

One of the more interesting aspects of having been trading for over 25 years is the number of customers we’ve been lucky to deal with during that time.
