What is a service?

Close

Car servicing is routine maintenance that ensures your vehicle continues to deliver optimal performance while conforming to current safety standards.

What is covered in a service?

Close

We inspect a wide range of components, including your car’s body, wheels, tyres, lights, brakes, steering controls, gearbox operation, horn, timing belt and clutch operation. We also carry out replacements – engine oil and oil filters, for example.

Can my car fail a service?

Close

Not as such. A service is not like an MOT, which can be failed. Rather, a service identifies any potential MOT failure points, providing you with time to have them rectified before an MOT takes place.

What is an MOT?

The Ministry of Transport (MOT) test is an annual inspection which applies to most vehicles over three years old. It assesses your vehicle’s roadworthiness and how it conforms to legal safety and environmental requirements. Only vehicles with a valid MOT certificate are permitted to be driven on public roads.
