The ‘last of the line’ and ‘last of a type’ V12 Vantage AMR Roadster, finished in Stratus White over Pure Black and Blue Haze metallic hides, presenting in immaculate condition, as befits the mileage of just 1,600 from new.
Launched in June 2017, the V12 Vantage AMR, the final production derivative of the V12 Vantage, was conceived and produced in celebration of the Aston Martin’s racing success, in particular with their GTE class win at the Le Mans 24 hrs that year. Equipped with the last and most powerful variant of the sonorous, naturally aspirated 6.0 litre V12 engine, the AMR specification producing 595 bhp which when mated to the 7-speed (dog leg) manual gearbox, is an absolute thrill to drive and a highly fitting tribute to its endurance racing counterpart.
The V12 Vantage AMR was offered in Coupe and Roadster format and limited to a maximum of 100 cars. The Roadster being, by some margin, the rarer version.
Incredibly, just 29 V12 Vantage AMR Roadsters were built (yes, you read that right), for worldwide consumption, 20 in UK RHD specification, making this one of the very rarest variants of one of the most admired Aston Martin models, a real collector’s item.
This particular example was registered for use in January 2018. Finished in Stratus White, with orange centre stripe, over Pure Black and Blue Haze metallic hides with California Poppy welting. Just 2 of the total 29 cars built were finished in this specification.
Notable optional extras specified include; Aston Martin 700w Premium Audio, Gulf Orange brake calipers, full length twill carbon facia trim, front grille Carbon with the inner lip painted in Orange, Piano black interior trim pack, reversing camera, AMR logo headrest embroidery, Lightweight AMR Satin Black wheels, Carbon Fibre Lightweight seats, Carbon Fibre mirror caps, carbon fibre tail lamp finishers and wind deflector.
Having covered just 1,630 miles from, this car is presented in ‘as new’ condition throughout. Servicing has been carried out annually by Aston Martin Main agents, including its last service in October 2023.
The combined attributes of naturally aspirated, highly audible, smooth and visceral V12 engines with manual transmissions, are now a ‘thing of the past’, as the industry marches to a turbo, hybrid and electric future. The V12 Vantage AMR is a modern classic in every sense, a homage to racing glory and extremely rare. In ‘as new’ condition and with ultra-low mileage, this superb ‘last of a type’ supercar is highly recommended to the new era collector, driver or enthusiast alike.
