ASTON MARTIN DB5 FOR SALE

Finished in its original colour of Sierra Blue with Natural VM3234 Connolly hide interior, this exceptionally well preserved and maintained DB5 was built and delivered in June 1964 by Aston Martin agents Cyril Williams Ltd of Birmingham, optioned with a heated rear screen and limited slip differential.​

One of just 899 DB5 Coupes built, this particular DB5 was owned and enjoyed for some 40 years by an Isle of Man resident and maintained during their long-term ownership, by Andy Chapman of Aston Martin agents Chapman Spooner Ltd, Walsall. In 2005 on behalf of the second owner, this DB5 was inspected and reported on, by highly respected Aston Martin factory engineer Colin Thew, prior to his recommended works being carried out, by Thew’s recommend Aston Martin restorers. ​

Works carried out, included a complete rebuild of the original and matching numbers engine as fitted, to 4.2 litre lead free fuel specification, in addition, attention to the suspension and brakes, cooling systems and more were completed, prior to a compete retrim of the interior, in original quality Connolly Vaumol 3234 hides and Wilton wool carpets. Additionally, a refrigerated air conditioning unit, full cabin heat insulation and electronic power assisted steering have been installed along with, a Becker Mexico Retro infotainment system fitted.

A fully documented, leather bound history file including invoices for the restorative works carried out, confirms the highest level of maintenance and care given to this excellent DB5, by its former owners, via highly regarded Aston Martin specialists, in preserving and improving, this example of the famed DB5, an Icon of the Aston Martin brand and a favourite of collectors worldwide.

Also contained within the file, is a glowing testimonial from the second owner dated 2010 and some 15,000 miles ago, thanking the restorers for their recently completed, excellent works after completing an extensive European tour. This superbly finished, inside and out, and mechanically excellent DB5, is supplied inclusive of a manufacturer scheduled service and detailed preparation, to our usual exacting standards and includes a 12-month warranty with roadside assistance.
