We are proud to have been appointed by Prodrive, as Official Distributor of their exclusive range of performance enhancements for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
Using their detailed technical 'know how' and 'knowledge' gained through their experience in running the works Aston Martin Racing programme, Prodrive has developed a range of performance enhancements specifically for the 2005 onward Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The range of enhancements raise the power output, improve the ride and handling, improve the aerodynamics and improve the outright performance of the already much coveted car.
Available in menu form, the upgrades have been developed to the exacting and precise standards of a world class motorsport organisation and are now available from our renowned London base.
Engine upgrade
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage with 4.3 litre V8 engine produces 380bhp and 410nm (302 lb ft) of torque. Prodrive has extensively analysed the performance of this engine and developed an engine performance pack that increases engine output to 425bhp and 440nm (325 lb ft) of torque, making the car more responsive throughout the entire rev range.
This pack includes a recalibrated ECU, specifically mapped for UK fuel and, in particular, Shell V-Power 99. The standard exhaust catalysts are also replaced during the upgrade with free flow units to reduce back pressure and increase the rev limit. On the road, these improvements reduce the 0-60mph time by 0.4 secs, the 0-100 mph (161 kph) by 0.9 secs and the 0-130 mph (209 kph) by 2.4 secs. Independently verified these figures show a worthwhile improvement in all respects.
In addition to the performance gains the enhancements deliver, the upgrade also includes a switch that provides the option to leave the exhaust valve by-pass open, to enjoy the glorious exhaust note delivered by the enhanced V8 Vantage engine, all the time. The system does also feature a run quiet mode of just 83db.
Suspension
Following a comprehensive ride and handling evaluation at their proving ground and on
a selection of UK roads, Prodrive has developed a switchable upgraded handling package that can make the ride of your V8 Vantage more performance orientated. Using Bilstein unique driver adjustable electronic dampers and Eibach upgraded springs, Prodrive has developed an upgrade that offers two driving modes - road and performance, allowing you to determine on any occassion the ride characteristics of your car delivering the benefits of much tighter body control, greater steering feel and response and a more agile car.
Wheels and Tyres
Drawing from styling cues from the Aston Martin DBR9 race car, Prodrive has developed the twin seven spoke 19" wheels now available for the V8 Vantage. Not only looking great, the wheels are forged to make them 2.5kg per unit lighter than the standard wheel. The rear wheels are also half an inch wider that standard allowing larger 285 section tyres to be fitted. Combined with the selected Pirelli Pzero Corsa tyres the wheel / tyre combination increases grip and traction whilst providing the rear of the car a more muscular, purposeful look.
Aerodynamic pack
Prodrive has developed two discreet carbon fibre aerodynamic spoilers for the front lip and boot using wind tunnels to reduce aerodynamic lift. Improving high speed stability and grip whilst providing a subtle yet distinctive cosmetic enhancement for your car.
