CTR Events holds Midsummer Classic Media Day
The grounds of Buckinghamshire’s stately Stoke Park Club recently reverberated to more fulsome sounds than the usual whir of electric golf carts, as gathered outside the main entrance was a splendid selection of Aston Martins spanning seven decades.
Hosted by CTR Events and Stoke Park, the media day served as a taster for CTR’s Midsummer Classic and ThunderBall event to be held on June 26th. The family-friendly Midsummer Classic will have the convivial atmosphere of a garden party where guests will enjoy generous hospitality and have access to the Concours d’Elegance which will feature some very special Aston Martins and Lagondas. Additionally, there will also be the opportunity to see the new four-door Rapide close-up, and the awesome One-77 supercar.
Upwards of 50 cars are expected for the Concours competition’s several classes, and among the confirmed entries is the world-famous DB4GT Zagato ‘2 VEV’. Entries are still being received and anyone interested in taking part should contact Nicholas Mee or Neal Garrard at CTR Events (info@clubtertrerouge.co.uk).
In the evening Stoke Park will transform into a stunning venue for the glamorous black-tie ThunderBall. In addition to a fine three-course dinner, there will be the Concours awards presentations, a charity auction hosted by Bonhams, live entertainment and dancing ‘til late.
