Thursday 9 November 2017

Responding to the needs of today’s Aston Martin heritage customer, the new two-acre site for the business, which celebrates its 25th birthday in 2018, will be a centre of excellence for the heritage marque and provide a destination experience for both existing Aston Martin owners and enthusiasts alike. The significant investment in Aston Martin’s heritage, underlines Nicholas Mee & Co’s ongoing commitment to supporting the manufacturer’s past products and future classics.

Nicholas Mee & Co will be building on its current skilled workforce, whilst understanding that to deliver excellence to customers, the most committed industry talent needs to be harnessed, nurtured and rewarded. The relocation will create numerous employment opportunities across technical, specialist activities and aftersales functions.

The new two-acre premises will enjoy enviable transport and communication links, in a rural and spacious Hertfordshire location, from which the enlarged company’s staff and customers will be able to enjoy a distinctly Heritage experience, in newly reconstructed historic buildings.

Speaking of the expansion and relocation, Company Founder and Managing Director Nicholas Mee said "As the classic car world continues to evolve, this expansion is in direct response to the needs of both our clients and ourselves.

The relocation to our new site will strengthen the company's ‘long term’ position and plans, within an industry which has recently been valued to be worth £5.5 billion * annually to the UK economy.

Aiming to double the current level of employees, we are excited to be developing a new world-class and state-of-the-art heritage facility, in a desirable location. It’s exciting to be expanding our skilled workforce and further enhancing our services, to existing customers and the many Aston Martin owners and collectors worldwide seeking expert services and advice".

The new destination will incorporate state-of-the-art facilities with a show hall and gallery that can be configured for private and larger events, for customers, media and other stakeholders in the marque. The expansive workshop areas will allow Nicholas Mee and Co to incorporate more in-house specialists, such as trimmers, fabricators and engineers, while the additional buildings will provide scope for the business to increase its stock holding of Heritage parts.

Further details about the company’s new premises, its expansion and future plans will be released in due course.
